Mom's Apple Crisp

This apple crisp recipe is a family favorite! The crisp topping and apples cooked perfectly in the middle make a perfect dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 8-10 medium granny smith apples cored, peeled, and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • cup softened butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • In a greased 8x8 pan, layer the apples, sprinkling cinnamon on each layer as you go.
  • Layer the apples until they create a dome shape above the pan.
  • Sprinkle the top layer with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  • Mix together the flour, sugar, and butter. Then cover the top of the apples, leaving no holes or cracks.
  • Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and serve! (Preferably with ice cream)
