The Best Blackened Shrimp

- 1 lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika can use regular paprika if you prefer
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon cayenne more if you want it spicier
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
Mix together all spices (all ingredients besides shrimp and olive oil).
Place shrimp in a bowl and toss with olive oil, then mix in spice mixture until coated.
Preheat a pan on medium-high heat, then add shrimp to pan in a single layer.
Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
Remove from heat and serve on/with tacos, burritos, wraps, pasta, or whatever you want!
