I’m not kidding when I say this recipe is famous in my family. My mom has made this every Thanksgiving since I can remember, and it’s everyone’s favorite. What ingredients do I need to make this recipe?
- Granny Smith Apples (cored, peeled, and sliced)
- Granulated Sugar
- All-purpose flour
- Butter
- Cinnamon
- Salt
How do I make this?
1) Preheat oven to 350.
2) In a greased 8x8 pan, layer the apples, sprinkling cinnamon on each layer as you go.
3) Layer the apples until they create a dome shape above the pan.
4) Sprinkle the top layer with cinnamon and a pinch of salt
5) Mix together the flour, sugar, and butter. Then cover the top of the apples, leaving no holes or cracks
6) Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes
Mom's Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 8-10 medium granny smith apples cored, peeled, and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- ⅓ cup softened butter
- Cinnamon
- Salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a greased 8x8 pan, layer the apples, sprinkling cinnamon on each layer as you go.
- Layer the apples until they create a dome shape above the pan.
- Sprinkle the top layer with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, and butter. Then cover the top of the apples, leaving no holes or cracks.
- Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and serve! (Preferably with ice cream)
