Warm up during the winter with this hot spiked apple cider. A hot drink AND an alcohol blanket is sure to keep you nice and warm over the holidays. This slow cooker mulled apple cider will make you the family favorite at holidays!

Slow cooker (on low): 8 hours
Slow cooker (on high): 4 hours
Stove method: 1 hour
Yields: 16 cups
Ingredients:
1 gallon unfiltered apple juice or apple cider
1 navel orange
1 ½ tablespoon whole allspice berries
1 ½ tablespoon whole cloves
2” piece of ginger root
4 cinnamon sticks
4 star anise
1 ½ cups of brandy or spiced rum (more to taste)
Directions:
Slow cooker (preferred): Put all ingredients except the alcohol into a slow cooker on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Then, add in alcohol and serve!
Stovetop method: Put all ingredients except the alcohol into a pot on medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for minimum 1 hour. When you’re ready to serve, stir in the alcohol.

Spiked Mulled Apple Cider
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups of brandy or spiced rum more to taste
Instructions
