    Halloween Snack Board

What’s better than a charcuterie board? I’ll tell ya, a THEMED charcuterie board (Ok, throw me in basic bitch jail, I don’t care, you know they’re great). This Halloween themed board was so fun to make, and it gave me an excuse to buy ALL the seasonal snacks and treats they have out. I even added candy corn (which I hate) but everyone has that one friend that likes it. Or you already did the right thing and cut that toxic person out of your life.

My favorite thing I did for this board was buy the candy eyes and put them on as many things as possible (Did I go overboard? Never mind don’t tell me). I also am a sucker for using cookie cutters to use on cheeses for themed snack board. It makes it so much more fun and festive! The little plastic spiders are also fun for the board. For some extra flair you can see that on the Frankenstein-shaped cheese and the tombstone-shaped cheese I wrote on them with some decorative frosting. I only did it on a couple thin slices because nobody wants to actually eat those pieces. Keep in mind that everything outlined below is optional, feel free to add or remove to this board to make it your own!

Ok, now down to the nitty gritty. I’ll give you a breakdown of what’s on this board below, but feel free to add on your own touches to this board by adding something or leaving out anything you want:

    • Crackers - Use whatever you like! I just picked out a couple of my favorites, including the Trader Joe’s pumpkin cranberry crisps for some extra fall flair. I like to add a few different types of crackers so everyone can find something they like.
    • Cheese - Again, use what you like! The only thing I will say is that if you want to use a cookie cutter on cheese, it shouldn’t be on an extra hard cheese or something very soft (like goat cheese). If you use it on a hard cheese (ex: extra sharp cheddar), it will crumble. If you don’t believe me, check out the bag of crumbled Dubliner cheddar in my fridge. The soft cheese will also fall apart and will stick to the cookie cutter. In this picture, I used the cookie cutters on Havarti and smoked gouda. These cheeses are the perfect texture to use cookie cutters on!
    • Olives - I like to add green olives because I prefer them and the color fits with the fall ~vibes~!
    • Mini pumpkins - These are obviously just for decoration, but what screams fall more than pumpkins? You can find mini pumpkins at pretty much any grocery store around this time of year.
    • Decorative skull - I found this skull in the grocery store and I couldn’t resist! I’m glad I did because it really pulls the board together. Throw on any Halloween decorations you have to make it even more festive!
    • Candy eyeballs - I had so much fun adding these to the board! They’re the perfect little addition to make things extra Halloweeny.
    • Tortilla Chips (bonus points if they’re in fall shapes! - I got the ones pictured from Trader Joe’s. These weren’t originally part of the plan, but as soon as I saw them I knew they would be perfect for the board. They’re so festive and decorative!
    • Guacamole - Well, I had to make something to go with the fall tortilla chips. Let’s be honest, guacamole is not the prettiest snack, which makes it absolutely perfect for this board. Plus, where else would the skeleton bathe?!
    • Plastic spiders - I mean, do I need to explain these creepy little guys?
    • Small candles - I wanted to add to the spooky/Halloween vibes and the candles were the perfect touch!
    • Fall-shaped Chocolates - The one’s pictured here are Trader Joe’s Harvest Collection Belgian Chocolates, This post is in no way sponsored by Trader Joe’s (but like, please call me Trader Joe’s). These chocolates were so cute and festive I couldn’t resist! They’re the cute little pumpkin and corn shaped chocolates you see!
    • Mint Kit Kat’s - Delicious AND green? Sign me up.
    • Plastic skeletons - I found these randomly at the grocery store and loved what they added to the board!
    • Candy Corn Autumn Mix - Last and definitely least, we have candy corn. There’s no denying that they’re festive and scream fall, so while I don’t like them, I can’t fight the power of the candy corn.
