What ingredients do I need to make this?
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Cilantro
- Thai basil
- Fish sauce
- Green onion
- Lime
- Olive oil
- Brown sugar
- Ginger
- Pepper
- Optional: Thai peppers
Can I substitute Thai basil for something else?
If you can find Thai basil, I highly recommend using it. Thai basil adds more of a kick than sweet basil. But, I do know that it can be difficult to find in some areas! If you can’t find it, use basil with a bit of mint or cilantro to add that extra kick that you’re missing with regular basil.

There really is no way to replace fish sauce in this dish. But, don’t be afraid of it! It’s such a great ingredient, and once you start using it, it will open up a whole new world of flavor!
