    Pesto Garlic Knots

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

These perfect little garlic knots only require 5 ingredients! I’ve really been loving few ingredient recipes lately, and this is one of my favorites. The pizza dough gets crunchy after being brushed with garlic butter and baked to perfection! They’re such a great appetizer to serve (and nobody needs to know how easy they are). Give them a try and leave a review.

What do I need to make this recipe?

    • Pizza dough: I use store-bought pizza-dough because it’s just so easy! Of course, you can use your own pizza dough if you prefer. My favorite store-bought doughs are from Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods!
    • Pesto: I use store-bought unless I happen to have my own pesto already made. Use whatever pesto you like!
    • Butter: I prefer butter but you can use also use olive oil. Salted or unsalted butter works just fine.
    • Garlic: I love this recipe with fresh garlic, but I have also used pre-minced garlic in a pinch and the recipe still turns out great.

Optional toppings: Parmesan, dried or fresh parsley, dried or fresh basil, dried rosemary, or dried or fresh parsley

How do I make this recipe?

Preheat oven to 400. If using biscuits, cut each biscuit in half, and roll into a long, log-like shape. If using pizza dough, cut the dough into 16 pieces and do the same. Then lightly spread pesto over the top of the dough.

Then, tie the dough into a knot, tucking the ends into the dough.

Place the garlic knots on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Melt the butter and then mix in the garlic, and any optional toppings you wish to use. Pour over the garlic knots, then place in oven. For biscuit dough, cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. For pizza dough, cook for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Take out of the oven and enjoy! Feel free to top with some additional pesto!

Where can I find pre-made pizza dough?

You can find it in almost every grocery store in the refrigerator sections! I prefer the pre-made dough from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, but whatever you can find will work!

Do I need any equipment to make this?

Just a baking sheet and an oven!

    Can I freeze my leftovers?

Yes! Place them in a sealed container and freeze. Let thaw on the counter and re-heat as desired.
