This healthy chipotle sauce is made with only a handful of ingredients. It’s spicy, smoky, tangy, and absolutely delicious. The chipotle and lime flavors work together so well, you'll always want to keep some in your refrigerator! I make a big batch to keep in the fridge, and honestly it never lasts long.

This healthy chipotle sauce is the perfect addition to any sandwich or wrap. It's also a great dip for sweet potato fries and amazing on fish tacos. Long story short, you can’t go wrong using this! If you're looking for another delicious sauce to try, my cilantro chimichurri is a great option.

    Ingredients

    • Plain greek yogurt
    • Canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
    • Fresh lime juice
    • Cumin
    • Pepper
    • Garlic powder

    Instructions

    1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
    2. Next, blend until smooth.
    3. Use immediately or store in refrigerator.

    FAQs

What equipment do I need to make this?

All you need to make this sauce is a food processor or blender.

    How do I store this?

Store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container until the yogurt expires, so just make sure to take note of the expiration date on the yogurt container.

Can I make this healthy chipotle sauce less spicy?

To make this recipe less spicy, then consider removing the seeds from the peppers. But, if you've already made it and think it's too spicy, just add more yogurt until it's at your desired spice level!

Hi! If using a nonfat Greek yogurt, the macros for the full recipe are: 10 g protein, 8 g carbs, 1.5 g fat (you can divide that up by whatever portion of the recipe you use). Hope this was helpful!

So sorry this was too spicy for you! Maybe next time one chipotle pepper instead of 2 (it'll have less of the chipotle flavor but also less spice). Thanks for reviewing the recipe!
